Activity Details
Have signs up on opposite sides of the room – one says True, the other says Mistake. Show the signs to the children and explain that they will decide if what the teacher says is true or a mistake.
Have the kids line up to take their turn.
The teacher says something that is obviously true or obviously untrue, ridiculous and silly. The sillier the better!
The first child in line decides if it is true or a mistake and goes to the appropriate sign. If a child is confused, the teacher or a helper can help them decide.
At the end of the game, we count the kids by each sign to tell if the teacher made more mistakes or was more often correct.
