Activity Details
- Have a basket of small interesting items.
- Pass one out to each child and give them time to investigate.
- Model for children the process of “Show and Tell.” First tell what the item is. Then share something interesting about it.
- Go around the circle until everyone has shared. (Option: To save time, you can have students do this in groups of four.)
- Have everyone pass their objects to the person on their left, who will look at the object carefully.
- Give everyone 30 seconds and have them all pass again. Continue to pass around until each child has a turn and then return items to the basket.
